Zoning Inspector Job Posting

Jackson Township, Mahoning County Ohio is accepting resumes for a part-time zoning inspector. This position is responsible for enforcing local zoning codes, reviewing permit applications, and conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Minimum Qualifications: (1) High school diploma or equivalent; (2) Basic knowledge of zoning regulations, land use, or building codes; (3) Ability to read and interpret maps, site plans, and legal descriptions; (4) Strong communication and record-keeping skills; and (5) Valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. The applicant must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule and attend evening meetings.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in zoning enforcement, code enforcement, planning, or a related field. Familiarity with Ohio zoning laws and Township processes. Jackson Township is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free work place that will conducts background checks.
